NBT is an association of representatives from many of Riverside’s community groups.
To establish an enduring organization by which Riverside neighborhood leaders on local issues of community-wide concern can: 1) share information and ideas, 2) level the playing field so that the voices of residents are heard amongst the clamor of competing interests, and 3) ensure both problems and opportunities are meaningfully addresse

To create networked conversations between a wide spectrum of Riverside residents, public servants and other community stakeholders, with the goal of promoting
fact-based decision-making towards government policies, projects, and
programs on local issues that
impact our shared goals for Riverside.
Adding residents' perspectives early on in the local governmental decision-making process, and engaging residents earnestly throughout, leads to better long-term outcomes for all of Riverside. Tom Donahue has served on the Riverside Downtown Partnership, the Chambers of Commerce, Raincross Group, the Downtown Area Neighborhood Alliance (DANA) and the advisory committee for the RCC Culinary Arts Academy. He has served as chair of the RNP from 2016-2021. He has served on countless committees and task forces for sustain

Professionally, Donahue worked with Family Services Association in the Senior Nutrition Program.

Jason is a longtime advocate for issues of interest and concern between residents and local city government, school districts and neighborhood groups. Jason is the current chair of two neighborhood organizations: Neighbors of the Wood Streets(NOWS) and Neighbors Better Together (NBT).

Jason is a longtime advocate for issues of interest and concern between residents and local city government, school districts and neighborhood groups. Jason is the current chair of two neighborhood organizations: Neighbors of the Wood Streets(NOWS) and Neighbors Better Together (NBT).
He is appreciated for the depth of his research and passionate debate, advocacy., and actions on what changes he has identified to have a more open and transparent review between residents and local government bodies.
NBT was created by neighborhood advocates as a reaction to the weak community outreach efforts for the Brockton Avenue traffic calming, bike lane project The focus of the group initially was on how community engagement was being implemented for projects and policies and what needed to be updated to include all stakeholders EARLY in the process.

She has been recognized for her life long volunteer service to Riverside: Girl Scouts – 25 years Red Cross - 25 years and 4H – 15 years. Kevin has been a neighborhood activist for better local government for over 15 years. His energy for supporting his neighbors and working for fairness, equality, and safety are well demonstrated by his involvement with local Ward 1 organizations and the University Neighborhood Association (UNA), NBT.
